The JBL Go 5 is an ultra-portable, palm-sized Bluetooth speaker that introduces significant hardware and connectivity refinements over previous generations. Shifting to a slightly larger but lighter design with a built-in carry loop, it features a rugged, drop-proof chassis boasting an upgraded IP68 waterproof and dustproof certification. Sound delivery is driven by a redesigned 1.75-inch transducer pushing 4.8 watts RMS of output power, generating punchier bass response and up to 14% louder volume than its predecessor. The speaker elevates the ultra-portable category by adding custom Ambient Edge Lighting strips across its frame for real-world visual status cues, alongside a specialized AirTouch instant stereo pairing system that creates a left/right audio stage simply by tapping two Go 5 units together. Furthermore, it transitions to cutting-edge Bluetooth 6.0 wireless technology with LC3 codec support, implements lossless 24-bit/48kHz audio playback over a direct USB-C cable connection, and unlocks a 7-band manual graphic equalizer via the JBL Portable mobile app
